Hey Sweeti! How are you? I went through your last two entries just now. The world is full of heartless people, who have not a drop of kindness in them. Natural calamities like Tsunami also are the result of man’s constant endeavours to plague our earth.
Nice of you to put in this thought, for this is the second anniv of Tsunami…may it never strike again.
Enjoy your new Year’s ! Happy New Year to you and your family!

    Hello Sweeti,
The tsunami was one of tremendous tragedy. Some who survived it were treated liike heroes but their peril was nothing compared to others. They got their names in the papers because they were either rich or famous. While those who were poor are even poorer yet. Another event in the annals of time, one that should never be forgotten for it showed that humans are not as powerful as they like to think.
I love your ability to visualize what you are reading! {{{HUG}}} It is what makes reading truly enjoyable. The broken toe part came about because I dislocated a toe joint so many times it would not stay in place. The doctors removed the joint. During the healing portion, I had a wire in my toe and the end sticking out was bent to look like a fish hook. We had a lot of laughs out of that.
    Peace, Love, & Blessings.

    Hi Sweeti,how are you?
Tsunami was one of the greatest tragedies! Peolple who went through it are still picking up the pieces of their lives!! Trauma, both physical and psychological has been tremendous! I can never forget it…….!! They are all heros in their own way!!
Thanks alot for the anniversary wishes,Sweeti :)!! I can imagine your apprehension and feelings regarding arranged marriages! It wd be totally an alien concept! Arranged marriages are still very common here, even today! People are getting open to love marriages too, some with opposition, some without! In India, there is very close interaction between families, before and after marriage! Caste still plays an important role!So getting the right boy/girl into the family is considered important!
In very traditional households the match is fixed, the bride and groom have no say,do not meet/talk and may see eachother for the first time on the wedding day itself..:D!!  In my case,we had the right to decide whether to go ahead or not!! I had no reason to say "no" cos he was closest to what i wanted in a husband, our wavelengths matched, family background was similar,etc…..except that i was fresh out of college (just 20 yrs) and wanted to experience life before settling down…:D!! Well,16 yrs later, life has been good and God has been kind :)……so no regrets :)!!
Arranged  or love marriages, both are a gamble…some work, some don’t….!!The realities are revealed only after one has taken the plunge (got married)..:D!!
Tc and have a grt day!

Yes, that was indeed a date that’ll remain there in the minds of the people who survived the scare and are really struggling to tie up their distorted lives once again.Find out something once again that they can live for…..
Glad that you chose to highlight it here….
