Giving life after ur death

A child waiting for an organ to stay alive………….weeks..months…
Parents who pray …… how wierd it may sound ……  they pray to God for saving their child, but that means that another person has to die.
Organ Donation
Last night saw a program
it was an interview with parents of a very very young girl. The girl was brain dead, and the doctors asked the parents if they could think abt the fact
to donate the organs of their lil girl…At such moments its very hard for the parents to decide for such an emotional matter.
First the husband said no….no. dont cut in my lil girl. The mom was cryng like hell ….. but agreed with the donation…After short time
the father agreed also…The father was so afraid that his lil girl would be cut in pieces…But the surgeon told him  that they will operate his lil girl  with the most respect ever..and that after the operation he could see her…So the father was reassured  that his child could be burried with dignity.
With the organs of the lil girl  4 kids got a good life…
Hospitals cry for organs…So many good organs unused….So many ppl that could be saved…But helas…

    Yes lady
do you know i have already donated my organs (kidneys, cornea, heart, lungs, liver and pancreas) to the Narmada Kidney Foundation Organisation
the sad part is even after making this declaration post my death if my family objects they cannot accept the donation
so i ensured everyone in my family is aware and they inform the foundation of my death…
    i did this in 2000.
i carry the card at all times with me in my wallet.
The backside of my card says – Don’t take your organs to heaven, for God knows they are needed here.

  2. Minty's mamma says:

Very true. One person’s sorrow is the source of hope for others – if their organs have been promised for donation.
Strangely though, I heard on the news today that 4 people have got HIV following the acceptance of donated organs… that must be cruel twist of fate.

God bless you, Sweetie! Much love from Alabama. Mitch

so true, but it has to be done in proper way because i heard in many countries is a wealthy business to sell and buy of organs.many doctors take organs while operating poor people and sell it in market.

    Hi Sweeti:
This is such a touching blog.  It must have been a very agonizing decision for those parents to make and you’re right…unfortunately, in order to save a life, another life must pass on.
I will, in the very near future, need a kidney transplant.  My son has said that he is more than willing to donate one of his kidneys for me.  We have the same blood type, but we’ve never been tested to see if it’s a match.  We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.  In the meantime….I’ve had a very good life and if my time comes before a donor is found, then I’m fine with that.  I would rather they save a child first.
    Hugs and Love,

I always felt that if we can donate something to somebody if it is no longer of any use for us, there should be no hesitation. Who cares how we look or what is done to our body, it doesn’t really matters, what is important is that we could help somebody after our death. I was away for almost a month touring Spain and Portugal. Just got back. Have a nice weekend, bye, Rama.

Hello! aw, uch a sad story for an unfortunate family but a happy ending for others who benefitted. Unfortunately organs do not grow on trees which shows just how tough life can be in so many ways. I watched a program on tv last week about emergencies that happen with injury. There was a surgeon who was cutting open a dead body and showing accidents that might happen. I wasn’t sure how to feel for the dead guy and nobody used his organs to save a life. I guess maybe to educate people is also life saving too though. It did make me feel queezy watching it! lol.
I hope you had a great weekend! I wish you a wonderful week ahead 🙂

    Hi M,
There’s a  full Body, body parts, eyes etc donation centre in SL.  i have already got registered my self with this but only after the death.  wonder whether i’ll be noble enough to donate some of my parts while i am living?  of course we can donate blood but other body parts like kidney.  must think over this.

  18. Michiko's says:

    Hi sweeti san,

  19. Alien Hunter says:

    Hello Sweeti,
A most touching blog indeed. It is unfortunate that people are pressured to make a decision in the hour when they are least able to make a rational decision. I watched part of the news tonight and there are discussions about "BUYING" organs from people. If it goes through, there are so many people willing to do anything for money that available organs for transplant should go up. But then I think about the technology for cloning which would eliminate the need for donors.
    Have a great week.
    Peace & Blessings.
