18 Boys 5-10 years old

After  a day of rest we went to Balapitya orphanage.
I always had the intention to help an orphanage, kids u know…Weak place in the heart.
The building was very new ..donated  by Australia after tsunami.
But its not  only a building those kids need…its so much more.
The love of a mom and dad.
As i already wrote a year back about my colleague her daughter and her husband. They want to adopt a baby.
Documents to fill…courses to  finish..and still…no baby for them.
They are down…and now when i see those 18 boys  ..i think…why cant we bring them together..is that so difficult?
what can i say.
Sheets and towels were needed…
so off we went to the shop
And  my husband said those kids
also need footballs and cricket bats..lol
so this was the result..
This pic  is the sweetest
He was alone on the world…eyes focused
The football needed extra air…..alil pause..and then  Football again.
Second Christmas day was an emotional one.
9.25  2 minuts silence  to remember the 5 year Tsunami
and give flowers to the sea…
Emotional moments..
That day no fishingboats on the water.
The waves….give  and take

Excellent to see what you do my friend, I can imagine it being touching to say the least. I worked with a German missionary in India helping a large orphanage..so much need in the world today.

Hi M,It is not easy to live without a family …. There are a lot of kids who lost both parents after Tsunami…… Those kids always have an empty place in their hearts screaming for the love of parents and siblings…. I agree with you.. there’s a lot of couples who don’t have children and willing to adopt them…. But……I too visited down south withing a month of Tsunami and you could feel the sadness in atmosphere.. whenever I hear the word Tsunami it brings tears to my eyes……. Thank for the kindness you are showering among my people….Love and hugsCha

So many people want to addopt and there are so many orphan kids … too much of paper work and too much of wasted time. I wish the situation will change soon.Hug,T

I hope you know how much joy and hope you and your husband have given those 18 boys. We all do! I wish that all of them would be adopted RIGHT NOW, but the governments have to relax their crazy rules, at least by one half.I hope you had some time to relax while you were there, Sweeti.Take care and keep up your GREAT work!Bob~

I had a cat first. Than I got a dog. Cat – Inky was 13 years old and dog – Kyra only 6 months when they started to share my home. They were good friends. Never had a fight. I lost Inky in june last year. So Kyra left alone and have all my attention. There are some photos of them together on my space. So, if you ask me, cat & dog get along together well.Ooo, you are from Belgium? That’s great! I have a friend there. I like your country a lot.Have a nice sunday!Hug,T

Ja, ‘t temperatuurverschil is groot, hé.

Regulations are necessary necessary, but they turned into red tapes when handled inappropriately.always moved by ur care for those less lucky kids.

  24. Newman says:

It’s a nice post MJ, I can see u and your husband r trying your best to help the orphanages and u really care about them. I see too many foreigners come to a "third world country" go nightclub have one night stand treat locals with poor manner, they just ignore the fact that we human r the one.It has nothing to do with where u born, what colour u r or what language u speak. We r the one.For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after meWhatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for meThumbs up MJRichard
