SHEEP SHEEP AND SHEEP

A question….what kind of animal is well knows in Ireland????

Let me think…hmmmmmmmmmmmmm..SHEEP??
This is the CEO of the herd.

I have seen sheep for the rest of my life. Really when u drive trough the extended country u see them everywhere.
With different paint on their back. I thought i knew the reason. But Fortunatly i did not mention that.
Cos the real reason is that everyone knows who the owner is.
U want to know what i thought???  Well that the sheep was pregnant..lol..Crazy ???

We visited a shepherd. He gave a demo with his dogs…wow…those 2 were awesome working animals.
Running here there..the sound of the whistle of the shepherd indicated what they had to do

It takes some years of training before a lil puppy grows to such a working machine.
The shepherd owns 5 dogs. I asked …ur dogs sleep with u?? He laughed   he said….
When winter comes and we have to stay in other place i sleep with my dogs and the sheep.

In Ireland u have different kind of sheep..  Imported of course Even from Texel the Netherlands.

The Third from the left is the Texel one

and as in every family u have a black sheep.

To be continued……

Thank you for the information sweeti, I didn’t know these things. There aren’t a lot of sheep farmers in the US as beef and chicken are the number one meats here. I thought the other day that I would try a lamb chop until I looked at the $12.95 price tag. That changed my mind in a hurry. LOL You got some great pictures.

  2. Beth says:

My motto is : I can sleep at home. When in Europe, set the alarm, get up and don’t miss a thing… not even the sheep. Baaaaaaaaa :o) Everyone loves Sheep. It probably stems from the fact that as lambs they are among the most cuddly and the softest creatures you can imagine, and as adults they seem to be the most docile and harmless creatures you will ever meet up with.
