Shaun Ellis

As i am a  National Geographic fan and everything that has to do with culture and nature, we watched Yann Arthus Bertrand (http://www.homethemovie.org/) Watch the trailer when u have time) Shaun Ellis.

Really Crazy Guy  …. Living with wolves. My mouth was open for 15 minuts.I had no idea this was real.. This is the guy::  Info from Wiki.

Shaun Ellis is an english animal reseacher  who is notable for living among, and for adopting a pack of abandoned North American timber wolf pups. He is the founder of Wolf Pack Management and is involved in a number of research projects in  and at Yellowstone National Park  in the United States

so far a bit info..Well he adopted those 3 baby cubs  The documentary shows how, by carefully mimicking wolf behaviour, Ellis was able to raise the three wolf cubs to maturity. It also shows how his expertise brought him to the attention of a polsih farmer, whose livestock had suffered wolf attacks. Since wolves are a protected species in Poland the farmer hoped that Ellis might be able to find some non-violent way to deter the marauding pack. Ellis travelled to Poland to study the local pack, bringing with him audio recordings of wolf howls. And at the end  …One happy farmer. And without hurting  one wolf.

Shaun is living 22 hrs a day with the wolves  He is a wolf now. Its so wierd to see the wolves eat out of his mouth.  He wears always the same clothes for the smell  and his mates recognise him as a wolf. He eats with them….the same way as they do…He eats insides  of animals.  Thats why Guys …. i was with my mouth open for 15 minuts.

I hope u like to see a bit of the way he spend his days.

Hi MJ, I had seen a documentary about Shaun Ellis, a few years ago, but it’s fantastic to hear how his living with the Wolves is helping gain understanding about the Wolves in their natural habitat, proving that they are needed in the natural order in the wild, He’s a man who has stepped into the mind of the Wolves and is living their way… An extraordinary character, and I’m not surprised at your reaction Sweeti, mine was the same at first, and then of course you realise that it has to be this way if he wants to succeed in his quest, as it’s an amazing thing he’s doing for the good of the pack. …
    Wonderful blog … xPenx

I have seen some other people like this before. We have some that do this with bears as well though not exactly eating with them that I know of. I certainly understand your reaction as well.

  3. Extraordinary man with an extraordinary lifestyle
His research is important to our coexistence with wolves

But we needed to research for all animals characteristic as Ian said in here.
I understand how you felt about the men living with the wolves.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤ Shaun is obviously a brilliant researcher and though his methods may seem a bit unorthidox by some, he truly gets to the heart of the wolf. I haven’t heard before of someone who has been able to get an inside look at wolves, and pack dynamics… directly from the wolf’s point of view. He might be nuts to live with wolves, but he’s NOT crazy!!

oh boy! the way he lives with them is really commendable… thanks for sharing the video, Sweeti! how is your brother-in-law doing?

  7. Fascinating….amazing what can be achieved when the right tactics and approach are used! Enjoyed that vid…loved the bit at the beginning where he got that little wolf cub howling 🙂
