Back to reality

This sundaymorning i had a long talk with my buddy and we talked abt the virtual life so many ppl live these days.
So often we forget reality. But one thing is real.

U start life and end in reality
He made this poem.

Tis world split real and virtual
electronic screen false yet natural
faded reality in human heart virtual
hearts desire reality natural
horizon of future today virtual
dreams of today end as time spirall
human deed to tis world virtual
love and care reality seldom natural
faked and faded love to lust virtual
truth and sacrifice reality in love natural
desires of heart to the needed virtual
the rich and powerfull yet so natural
tis world doth turn till eternity
life doth begin and end virtual reality

  1. What a wonderful poem MJ, and yes so many get caught in virtual reality of the illusion we are presented with.. Many live with their noses in the world of technological advances and even find it difficult to communicate with one another except via text as they stay plugged in via ear phones to the world of music…
I watched a programme a while ago now, as the programme was trying to bring back family time.. Encouraging them to sit down to an evening meal together.. They did.. But each sat eating while still texting on their mobile devices ..
your friend is right.. We each need to embrace the true reality of life…

Much love to you xx Sue

I have a shirt with a sign on it that says “Welcome to Reality”. It’s a constant reminder that we all need a reality check. Bless you MJ, the reality is I appreciate you.

  3. Sometimes the real world is also cold and empty and souless…an empty void. Reality is that without the virtual the world would seem much smaller and lonelier than for some it already is x.

i agree on that point Wolfy But these days u see kids acting very asocial. No communication at all. But not every kid of course but its now so normal in everyones realisation.

so much emphasis put on what we have/own and not the important things in this life Sweeti, and your friends poem underlines this so well. People are the reality and so is compassion and love for your fellow man, connecting through touch not through the airwaves methinks. You cannot hug via a mobile phone, and a hug can solve so many problems. and make you feel so much better. Saying that though, I shall offer virtual hugs to you. ( 🙂 ) lovely friend. xPenx
