The butterfly died in me.

Butterfly

To die on the water with ur wings of paper

Just float, after flying in the clouds,

float with ur colours which blur

without search without questions

At last…for always rest

The flowers u kissed

The fragrance u have smelled

U can forget everything now

On the water u fly back and forth

This way to die with ur wings of paper

to live u should be a butterfly

always free away from the hurt

I can live without flying

cos the butterfly died in me

Oh, Sweeti, so sad, ….to think of the delicate and beautiful ‘flutter by’ finally losing it’s life, after flitting here and there, tasting the sweet nectar of life… I echo your words above my friend, when the butterly fades and dies, something special dies in all of us.. xPenx

  6. This was a lovely if not poignant poem.. The butterfly life is so precious and short.. They bring such beauty and transform our gardens… Its always sad when they transcend.. But I always think as they pass from this life to the next like all living creatures.. What rejoicing is done at their home-coming..
    Lovely poem MJ..
    Hugs Sue
