Where i was hanging out these last weeks.

Sri Lanka 15 January 2015.
Alarm goes of at 5 am in the morning. Driving  to Zaventem airport. After a perfect flight  we land safe in Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. The temperature difference was enormous. The heat falls on you when you come outside. But you get used to it very fast. First day we rest.  Travelling a whole day makes you tired.
We called our friends of course, that we arrived safe. We’re missing our best help Suresh (now he orks in Oman) and Surendra  ( he works in Dubai) The brother of Suresh, Dinesh helps us now, for which we are very gratefull.
1. the first visit was to the widow with four children, where we have built in our previous visit a kitchenette and bought a mattress  Now 1.5 years later there was damage on the roof.
2015 januari Sri Lanka 038
There has been heavy rains in recent months .he  damage on the roof we restored.
2015 januari Sri Lanka 307
Also we made a natural waterwell  safe.
2015 januari Sri Lanka 041
To protect kids falling in. It is situated  a few feet from her house. With concrete rings secured,  around the rings a slab of cement, so that there is a safe area, so she can take water  with a bucket

2. Small house Induruwa.
A family lived with 4 in a small room. Last year we build  two rooms. Now cover de walls with cement. The walls  were still in grove stone, so that makes a lot of  moisture which is not healthy. We also make now a small kitchenette.

We came to check once and a while and we can say   YESSS  this is going fast. Thanks guys.

3. For the family The Silva where we have built years ago electricity and built a kitchen, we bought a food package.
Dhr.de Silva has no job and now he had  a good idea to get a lawn mower (not like our lawn mowers  but  one to cut wild grass, natural grass) , so he can mow the grass at customers and can earn a few rupees per customer.  Not a bad idea.
We go for it.

Give the fishing line and not the  fish. Tx Dinesh for your help.
4. for the Montesorri school we have bought with help of  Uditha Samanlal (toilet project 2013) a desk and 2 chairs (the old ones were worn to threads)
2015 januari Sri Lanka 344
and for the children each a bag with school materials.
2015 januari Sri Lanka 331
When we arrived the desk and chairs were just delivered by the company and the ladies were extremely satisfied.
The children’s parents were also waiting. It was a hustle and bustle.
5. shelter.
Chamaree had requested a refrigerator for the shelter for babies.
Young moms babies and babies diminished by the Court .  This was a very emotional visit. It was prohibited to take pictures, which I can understand for the safety of the children. The house was also hard to find. That says enough, dont you think.
We went to the shop  and they agreed  they could supply the refrigerator immediatly.

6 . And unbelievable but true.

The old man and his wheelchair.
We drive 2 minutes in Aluthgama and yes.. There he is again. We bought a food  package and went to bicycle shop for a new bicycle tire and test the grease on his wheelchair.

7. Project Women in Movement.
For a certain amount we bought readingbooks  for library.
So children who have less, also can do  their study. Thanks Chamaree. Etienne could not carry more.

And then with peace of mind back to the hotel.
Estuti to everyone who has helped us in any way.
